    Will McAdams

    PRESIDENT

A former Texas Public Utility Commissioner, McAdams helped lead the state’s grid reforms following Winter Storm Uri — championing nation-leading weatherization standards and pioneering the first U.S. virtual power plant pilot through ERCOT’s ADER program. He also represented Texas in regional reliability planning at the Southwest Power Pool. A U.S. Army veteran and former legislative advisor, McAdams brings deep experience in energy policy, infrastructure, and leadership.

    Tiffany Wu

    CONSULTANT

A former DOE Solar Innovation Fellow at the PUCT, she helped launch ERCOT’s groundbreaking ADER pilot and task force. She later led virtual power plant and community resilience hub initiatives for low-income communities at TEPRI, including a multi-family housing project in North Texas. A former chemical engineer with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Wu brings a decade of experience in deploying emissions control and carbon capture projects for power and industrial plants.

  • Manny Uy

    CONSULTANT

A Texas electricity expert, Manny brings more than two decades of experience across ERCOT market operations, regulatory compliance, and distributed energy development. At Hunt Energy Network, he helped establish the company’s QSE and RE, led the interconnection of early DGRs, and supported regulatory advocacy before ERCOT and the PUCT. He has also advanced innovative DER and behind-the-meter large load strategies, building on earlier experience at Sharyland Utilities and utility operations at Fort Bliss Army Base and Laughlin Air Force Base.

Publications and Media

  • In this episode of the Energy Capital Podcast, Matt Boms sits down with Will McAdams to assess whether Texas is better prepared for winter now, five years after the devastating Winter Storm Uri. They explore lessons learned from 2021, the grid’s weatherization improvements, the growing role of battery storage, and how the state can meet rising demand without repeating past failures.
